MAITUM, Sarangani (January 27, 2012) - Residents and Bangsi Festival guests enjoy all they can eat as the bangsi (flying fish) street grilling unfolds Friday, January 27, at the town’s main thoroughfare. Bangsi is Maitum's One Town One Product (OTOP), providing livelihood to coastal households. Its value-added product, the marinated and half dried flying fish, is a popular pasalubong and breakfast fare. Bangsi Festival also honors the fisherfolk.
