WHEREAS, Executive Order 042-2020 was issued last September 15, 2020, as the FIRST EXTENSION of EO-040-020, imposing a Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ), Stringent border lockdown, Clustering of barangays in going to the public market, No Sunday Movement, and other measures to curve the spread of COVID-19 in the Municipality of Maitum, Sarangani Province;
WHEREAS, there is still prevalence of cases of local transmissions in neighboring municipalities and adjacent cities;
WHEREAS, there is a continuing influx of OFWs and LSIs returning to the Municipality making our Isolation Facility be occupied all the time;
WHEREAS, the limited number of DOH allocated testing kits has been the persistent and continuing impediment for the Municipality to accurately determine the range of infection among its constituents;
WHEREAS, with the prevailing circumstances, there is an urgent need to further adopt measures already in-placed, to contain and prevent the spread of COVID-19;
WHEREAS, the Local Chief Executive deems it imperative to extend the validity of the provisions and guidelines in Executive Order 040-2020, until October 15, 2020, to maintain the gains in the fight against COVID-19 of the Municipality of Maitum;
NOW THEREFORE, I, ALEXANDER BRYAN B. REGANIT, Municipal Mayor of the Municipality of Maitum, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby order the following;
SECTION I: EXTENSION of VALIDITY: The Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ) in the Municipality of Maitum and of the other provisions in Executive Order 040-2020 is hereby extended for the SECOND TIME from 12:01 in the morning of October 01, 2020 until 11:59 in the evening of October 15, 2020;
SECTION II: SEPARABILITY CLAUSE. In the event that any provision of this ORDER or any part hereof is declared unconstitutional, invalid, or illegal by a competent authority or a court of law, the provisions not thereby affected shall remain in force and effect.
SECTION III: REPEALING CLAUSE. All orders, rules and regulations, and other issuances or parts thereof that are inconsistent with the provisions of this ORDER, are hereby repealed or modified accordingly.
SECTION IV: EFFECTIVITY. This Executive Order shall take effect immediately upon its approval and shall remain in force unless otherwise revoked or cancelled or until the accomplishment of the purposes of this ORDER.
