𝗠𝗗𝗥𝗥𝗠 𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗖𝗜𝗟 𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗗𝗦 𝟮𝗡𝗗 𝗤𝗨𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗠𝗘𝗘𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚; 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗩𝗜𝗗𝗘𝗦 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗦 𝗢𝗡 𝟳.𝟴 𝗠𝗔𝗚𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗨𝗗𝗘 𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗛𝗤𝗨𝗔𝗞𝗘 The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC) convened its 2nd Quarter 2026 Meeting to discuss disaster preparedness initiatives and provide updates on the impacts and response efforts following the recent 7.8 magnitude earthquake. The meeting was attended by Municipal Mayor James Mark B. Reganit, Former Mayor Alexander Bryan B. Reganit, representatives from the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) Region XII, and members of the MDRRM Council. During the meeting, the Rapid Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis (RDANA) Team presented its progress report, highlighting the number of affected families, ongoing response and recovery measures, and the status of assessments conducted on buildings and other critical infrastructures throughout the municipality. The council also discussed strategies to strengthen disaster response, ensure public safety, and accelerate recovery efforts for affected communities. The Municipal Government of Maitum remains committed to working closely with partner agencies and stakeholders in addressing the needs of affected residents and building a safer, more resilient community.
