69 Families Displaced by Habagat Receive DSWD Emergency Assistance A total of 69 families, comprising 224 individuals, affected by the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), which brought scattered rains and thunderstorms to the Municipality of Maitum, received emergency kits and financial assistance from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). Through the collaborative efforts of Mayor James Mark Reganit, the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), and DSWD, the relief distribution reached 41 affected families from Barangay Kalaong and 28 families from Barangay Kalaneg, providing immediate assistance to help them cope with the effects of the recent weather disturbance. The Municipal Government of Maitum remains steadfast in its commitment to ensuring that every affected family receives the necessary support during times of disaster. The local government also continues to coordinate with concerned agencies to monitor the situation and provide additional assistance whenever needed.
