UAE Emergency Aid Brings Relief to Maitumians The Municipality of Maitum received emergency humanitarian assistance from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), providing timely relief and much-needed support to thousands of Maitumians through the generosity of the UAE Government. Present during the distribution were His Excellency Mohamed Obaid Salem Al Qattam Alzaabi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Philippines; Sultan Althabahi, UAE Embassy Diplomat; and Motaz Mostafa and Melvin Victorio from the UAE Embassy. Their presence reaffirmed the UAE's commitment to humanitarian service and its solidarity with communities affected by adversity. The humanitarian assistance included 1,860 gallons of potable water, 3,000 food packs, and 3,000 bags of rice, providing immediate relief and helping meet the essential needs of affected families across the municipality. The distribution of the emergency grants was facilitated by the Provincial Government of Sarangani and carried out with the assistance of the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), ensuring the orderly, efficient, and equitable delivery of assistance to qualified beneficiaries. The Local Government Unit of Maitum, under the leadership of Mayor James Mark Reganit, extends its deepest appreciation to the Government of the United Arab Emirates, the UAE Embassy, the Provincial Government of Sarangani, MSWDO, and all partner agencies and volunteers whose collective efforts made this humanitarian mission possible. This act of generosity is a powerful reminder that compassion knows no borders. Through strong partnerships and a shared commitment to public service, lives are uplifted, communities are strengthened, and hope is restored.
