Kenneth Lance A. Rocapor, SK Municipal Federation President of Maitum. The address presented the current state of the municipalityโs youth sector, highlighting the initiatives, accomplishments, and continuing priorities of the Sangguniang Kabataan and the youth of Maitum. The ceremony also featured a Torch Parade, symbolizing the collective strength, participation, and aspirations of the youth across the municipality. The celebration continued with the Awarding Ceremonies, recognizing the young people, teams, organizations, and stakeholders who contributed to the success of the various activities of the Maitum Youth Festival. The evening culminated in a Grand Fireworks Display, marking the conclusion of the festival and its series of activities that brought young people together through sports, leadership, entrepreneurship, advocacy, culture, and community participation. With โChampioning the Grassrootsโ as its central theme, the Maitum Youth Festival underscored the importance of creating spaces where young people from every barangay can participate, lead, and contribute to community development. It likewise reflected the National Youth Commissionโs message that while young people come from different contexts, they remain connected by common aspirations for meaningful participation, opportunities, and a better future. The closing of the Maitum Youth Festival does not mark the end of the municipalityโs commitment to its young people.
