13 MDRRMO Responders Complete Swiftwater Rescue Training Thirteen (13) responders from the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of Maitum successfully completed the Swiftwater Rescue Training conducted on August 4–8, 2026. The five-day training was facilitated by the Bureau of Fire Protection – Special Rescue Force (BFP-SRF) XII, providing participants with essential knowledge and practical skills in swiftwater rescue, response, and emergency operations in fast-moving water environments. The training aimed to further strengthen the capability and preparedness of Maitum’s emergency responders, particularly in addressing water-related incidents and disasters. Through hands-on exercises and specialized rescue techniques, the participants gained valuable skills that can be applied during actual emergency and rescue operations. The successful completion of the training reflects the Municipality of Maitum’s continuing commitment to enhancing its disaster response capacity and ensuring a faster, safer, and more effective response to emergencies and disasters. #MasaganangMaitum #WowMaitum
