The Maitum Junior Officials 2026 were formally recognized during the regular Flag Ceremony of the Local Government Unit of Maitum, marking their participation in the Junior Officials Program of the 3rd Maitum Youth Festival 2026. Anchored on the principles of Republic Act No. 10742, or the Sangguniang Kabataan Reform Act of 2015, the initiative provides young people with meaningful opportunities to experience local governance, develop leadership skills, and understand the roles and responsibilities of public officials. Through their respective counterpart positions, the Junior Officials are given a platform to actively participate, learn from public service, and appreciate the importance of youth involvement in community development and decision-making. This initiative reflects the spirit of “Championing the Grassroots”—creating spaces where young people can be heard, empowered, and prepared to become responsible leaders and active partners in building a stronger Maitum. #MasaganangMaitum #WowMaitum
